Take the time to follow the directions on our Home Page before completing the Application. Your application will be rejected if you have not followed the directions so please do not waste your time or ours. After all, you are applying to commit to a lifetime for your new companion and it will be worth the time to educate yourself on these very special dogs and their needs.
We will respond to your Application to Adopt within 24 hours. If you have not heard from us via email within 24 hours, please call the main number, 719-845-0120 so we may follow up. If you do not see an application, please try refreshing your browser or clear your cache. The form may not work with Apple products, or with Safari and Google Chrome search engines. If you use Apple products you may need to use Firefox or Internet Explorer for best results.
Please be advised that our process to adopt your new companion can be completed very quickly, sometimes in the same day. Please do not submit an application until you are ready to adopt. It is our policy to hold a dog for up to three days after you have been approved for adoption. On the fourth day, we require a 50% non-refundable deposit and a $5 per day boarding fee to hold your new pet up to two weeks. We are a no-kill organization and our space is limited so we cannot hold dogs for an extended period. An extended period of time is not to exceed two weeks.
